So true. Modern Trek is a pale imitation of 90’s Trek, so sad. Alex Kurtsman has a lot to answer for.
I wish this was not a thing. They are spending way too much time making “Silly Trek” episodes; the series is losing it’s edge.
I grew up in a very… toxic… household. Star Trek (Original Series), original airings and in syndication, was the only thing that kept be sane. Safe. It set examples for me, taught me morals, of what was right an wrong, of acceptance. I saw some of that in the first seasons of “Strange New Worlds”, but the producers seem to be wanting to go down the “Silly Trek” episodes just for the sake of seeing how far they can bend the premise. These don’t feel like they are… affirming anything else. I wish they would stop.
