The HAIM sisters are back with a bold break-up album that feels more like a precious breakthrough. I Quit sounds like it was made in a time machine with a modern flair. Our favourite track is “Freedom,” where the punchy guitar riffs, George Michael sample, and matter-of-fact vocal delivery make you feel like you’re speeding away from something bad (and never looking back).
We’re also obsessed with Reysha Rami. Her new album T0m F00lery takes us on a turbo-charged electro-pop journey. If you’re into Cobrah or Charli XCX, you’re going to love this record. The standout track, “Freakee,” makes us want to stomp a hole in the dance floor!!
Another dose of pop perfection this month comes from Nuovo Testamento with their new single “Dream On.” With shimmering synth-pop and glossy vocals, it gives us major Madonna-debut-in-the-’80s vibes. It’s dancey, a little wistful, and absolutely addictive.
